What's in it for you

This half-day workshop balances theoretical understanding with experiential learning to ensure you leave with actionable leadership tools. You'll master "The Big Four" competency pillars (Vision, Integrity, Resilience, Competence), explore emotional intelligence and The Trust Equation (Empathy + Integrity = Psychological Safety), practice active listening that builds genuine connection, and apply the S.B.I. Model (Situation, Behaviour, Impact) for feedback that engages rather than defends. Through the "Rapid Response" scenario and personal Leadership Audit, you'll create a Start/Stop/Continue roadmap with one micro-win commitment for immediate action.

the business

Build Visionary Leadership: Develop leaders who know the "Why" and connect daily actions to organisational purpose, not just execute tasks.
Strengthen Organisational Integrity: Create cultures where leaders do the right thing when no one is looking, building trust that enables performance.
Increase Resilience to Change: Develop leaders who bounce back from setbacks and remain calm when plans pivot, not fragment under pressure.
Enhance Leadership Competence: Build the technical and social skills across your leadership team that deliver sustainable results, not short-term wins.

YOU & Your people

Close the Knowing-Doing Gap: Transform leadership theory into one specific behaviour you'll change tomorrow so action-oriented, not aspirational.
Master Emotional Intelligence: Understand self-awareness, self-regulation, and social skills through the Trust Equation (Empathy + Integrity = Psychological Safety).
Practice Active Listening: Experience the "Active Listening Lab" where you listen to understand, not to react or advise.
Apply Practical Feedback Tools: Use the S.B.I. Model (Situation, Behaviour, Impact) to build engagement rather than defensiveness in difficult conversations.

Your customers

Experience Clear Communication: Benefit from leaders who apply the "Signal vs. Noise" rule, simplifying rather than complicating customer interactions
Feel Genuine Empathy: Interact with leaders who practice active listening and understand customer challenges at an emotional level, not just transactional.
Trust Consistent Integrity: Work with leaders who do the right thing even when no one is watching, building long-term relationships over short-term wins.
Receive Calm Under Pressure: Experience leaders who pivot effectively when crises arise, maintaining composure that reassures rather than escalates anxiety.

This focused half-day (3.5 hour) workshop balances theoretical understanding with experiential learning to ensure you leave with actionable leadership tools. You'll master "The Big Four" competency pillars: Vision (knowing the "Why"), Integrity (doing the right thing when no one is looking), Resilience (bouncing back from setbacks), and Competence (the technical and social skills to deliver results).

Through the "Best Boss" reflection, Authority vs. Leadership debate, Active Listening Lab, and Rapid Response scenario, you'll explore emotional intelligence, apply the Trust Equation (Empathy + Integrity = Psychological Safety), practice the S.B.I. feedback model, and complete your personal Leadership Audit. The workshop emphasizes that leadership is a behaviour, not a job title, and ensures you leave with one micro-win you'll implement immediately.
When: Scheduled at your convenience for groups of 8-15 leaders. Half-day format: 3.5 hours (typically 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM with short break).
Where: Delivered at your premises or selected venue. Requires space for 8-15 leaders to engage in interactive activities including pair work (Active Listening Lab), small group scenarios (Rapid Response), and individual reflection (Leadership Audit). Can be delivered in-person or via video platform.
Who: Hosted by
Hywel Griffiths
This workshop is designed for any leader who wants to move beyond theory to practical action from first-time managers to senior executives. Ideal for leaders who recognise that leadership is earned through behaviour, not granted through job titles. Perfect for those navigating the "Authority vs. Leadership" challenge, managers who want to close their knowing-doing gap, leaders seeking to build emotional intelligence and psychological safety, and anyone ready to commit to one micro-win they'll implement this week. Whether you're leading a team of 2 or 200, this workshop provides actionable tools you can apply immediately, not theoretical frameworks you'll file away.
Part 1
Leadership Foundation
(45 minutes)
Part  2
Practice & Application
(120 minutes in. 15 min lunch)
Part  3
Personal Leadership Roadmap
(30 mins)
EXPECTATIONS:
We'll establish what leadership actually means and build the core framework. You'll participate in "The Best Boss" reflection—capturing in one word what made the best leader you've worked with great. Through the "Authority vs. Leadership" debate, you'll explore whether you can have authority without leadership (and vice versa), revealing that authority is given but leadership is earned through trust and competence.

We'll introduce "The Big Four" competency pillars that anchor effective leadership: Vision (knowing the "Why"), Integrity (doing the right thing when no one is looking), Resilience (bouncing back from setbacks), and Competence (the technical and social skills to deliver results).

Workshop Promise - by the end of this session you will be able to:
Leadership Redefined: Understand that leadership is a behaviour anyone can develop, not a job title.
The Big Four Mastered: Grasp the core framework (Vision, Integrity, Resilience, Competence) that defines effective leadership.
Authority vs. Leadership Clarity: Recognise the critical difference between positional power and earned influence.
Safe Space Established: Create an environment for honest dialogue without judgment where real growth happens.
EXPECTATIONS:
You'll move from theory to practice through experiential learning. First, explore emotional intelligence and The Trust Equation (Empathy + Integrity = Psychological Safety) through the "Active Listening Lab" pairing up where one person shares a challenge for 2 minutes while the other listens without interrupting or advising, then summarises what they felt the speaker was experiencing.

After a short break, you'll apply two critical leadership skills: Clear Communication using the "Signal vs. Noise" Rule and S.B.I. Model (Situation, Behaviour, Impact) for feedback that engages rather than defends, and Adaptability through the "Rapid Response" scenario where small groups face a workplace crisis and must decide an action plan in 5 minutes. The debrief focuses on how you decided, not just what you decided.

Workshop Promise - by the end of this session you will be able to:
The Trust Equation Applied: Understand how Empathy + Integrity creates Psychological Safety that enables team performance.
Active Listening Practiced: Experience the difference between listening to understand versus listening to respond or advise.
S.B.I. Feedback Model Mastered: Apply Situation, Behaviour, Impact framework for constructive feedback without triggering defensiveness.
Signal vs. Noise Rule Learned: Simplify communication rather than complicate it with leadership jargon.
The Pivot Practiced: Develop capacity to remain calm and decisive when plans change unexpectedly under pressure.
Decision Process Examined: Understand your decision-making patterns through the Rapid Response debrief.
EXPECTATIONS:
You'll internalize the learning and create personal accountability through "The Leadership Audit"—a private "Start, Stop, Continue" worksheet where you identify:

1. What new leadership behaviour will I adopt?
2. What habit is undermining my competence or trust?
3. What am I already doing well that I should double down on?

The workshop closes with a Closing Circle where each participant shares one "micro-win" they commit to for the coming week-specific, actionable, and immediate. This isn't about grand transformations; it's about one thing you'll do differently tomorrow.

Workshop Promise - by the end of this session you will be able to:
Personal Leadership Audit Completed: Leave with your Start/Stop/Continue roadmap tailored to your specific leadership challenges.
Micro-Win Commitment: Identify one specific behaviour change you'll implement this week, not vague intentions for someday.
Peer Accountability Created: Share your commitment with the group, dramatically increasing your follow-through.
Action Tomorrow: Walk out with absolute clarity on what you'll do differently when you return to work.
